The works of NEWS in Sunderban

• Climate Change in Sunderban - A project to assess the effects of Climate change in Sunderban and restoration of Mangrove as one of the mitigating measures. The project is funded by British Deputy High Commission.
  
• Project Sunderban Lifeline - is an effort to provide alternative livelihood and to pursue conservation through the same initiative in forest fringe villages of Sunderban. The project is funded by ABN Amro Foundation.
  
  
• A pilot survey to estimate the present trend of status of the critically endangered River Terrapin (Batagur baska) in Sunderban and adjacent areas.
  
  
• Collaborative study on problems of tiger straying in the villages of Sunderbans.
