CELEBRATION OF INTERNATIONAL MANGROVE ACTION DAY
Mangroves are unique yet fragile ecosystem which insure security of local communities. Its contributes to protect the coastline and provides forest products, sustain fisheries and acts as a vital carbon sink. In order to mitigate climate change UNESCO has declare 26th July as International Mangrove Action Day. Join hands to protect mangrove ecosystem.
Nature Environment & Wildlife Society shall celebrate International Mangrove Action Day like other years. To celebrate the event, number of events have been planned including discussion, awareness generation, rally and afforestation in different project sites. Representative of local administration,panchayet, local communities ,school children, local academicians and mangrove stewards are expected to participate in the programme.
