Health, Awareness & Education

Communicating information to the mass or building awareness is the first step in making a world environmentally conscious. Majority of the population remains ignorant about the environmental issues, being it wildlife or climate change or a natural resource crisis. Even the health impacts are not always measured and informed. This is a challenge across society and generation. Every change and movement for a sustainable future demands capacitating people and NEWS firmly believes and works towards that.

Health:

Environmental factors contribute to 24% of the global disease burden and 23% of all deaths (WHO, 2006). In fact, diseases leading the chart of world health problems are all linked either direct or indirectly to environmental factors. Exposure to pollution, consumption of unsafe water and unavailability of proper sanitation each year causes millions of death worldwide.
