1. To augment alternate livelihood options of the fishermen through comprehensive development 2. To undertake detailed resource mapping of the community using robust research methodology and build a model for fish conservation in eco-system based approach through local community participation 3. To impart training and capacity building on technical knowledge, monitoring etc. and other exposer related to hand holding and business development, to the beneficiaries of fisherman cooperative societies (FCS)
• Community consultation and Concept seeding meeting were done at Dumurdaha-Takipara FCS and Sija-Kamalpur G.P. • Entry Point Activity (EPA) has been identified • Stake-holders’ analysis done • Inception reports (Phase-I and Phase-II) submitted, containing details of the project site profile (FCS identification and demarcation of 3 km Behula canal stretch for excavation ), beneficiaries’ identification, socio-economic survey, etc.
