Celebrating FAO Global Recognition for SAIME (Sustainable Aquaculture in Mangrove Ecosystem) ๐Ÿฆ๐ŸŒฟ
To celebrate the Global Technical Recognition 2025 received from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), NEWS organized a special felicitation ceremony on January 28, 2026, at Chaital, Minakhan.

The SAIME farmers were felicitated with a certificate of appreciation (manpotro) and uttariyo for championing the SAIME model.

All guests including the Fisheries Minister, highlighted the significance of this climate-adaptive and ecosystem-based sustainable aquaculture and thanked the SAIME farmers and NEWS for developing and propagating this model in the Indian Sundarban.
