For over 25 years, the International Living Lakes Conference has served as a global platform for connecting people, ideas, and action to protect lakes, wetlands, and freshwater ecosystems. Building on the legacy of the 16th Living Lakes Conference in Lake Titicaca, Peru, the 17th International Living Lakes Conference will bring this global gathering to Kolkata and the Indian Sundarban, for the first time.
Hosted by Nature Environment & Wildlife Society (NEWS), India and Global Nature Fund (GNF), Germany, the conference will bring together policymakers, researchers, practitioners, civil society, youth, and community leaders to exchange knowledge, showcase innovative local solutions, and strengthen partnerships for resilient lake and wetland landscapes.
