The products on display were handmade jewellery, crafted from seeds and other natural materials found locally. The women learned to make these pieces during training with experts from August to September, 2026. The stalls were their first chance to put that training in front of real customers.
Running the counters taught them a lot in a few days. They arranged products, designed packaging, tracked stock, managed storage, kept accounts and handled sales. They also practised talking to customers and finding out what people actually wanted.
Customers in both the villages and the city stopped to look, ask questions, buy and share feedback. For the women, this was a direct way to see how their products were received and what they could improve or add next.
It is a small step, but it shows that skills built from local resources can find buyers beyond the village. We hope to build on this and help more women turn their craft into a steady source of income.
Thank you to everyone who visited, bought and encouraged them.
