#Gaj Mitra team will protect villagers from wild elephants  Bichiya (Bahraich). In the villages adjacent to the forest, the Gajmitra team will protect the villagers from #elephants. For this, the #Gaj Mitra team has been formed by the #Nature Environment and Wildlife Society (News). The Gajmitra team will go from village to village to protect the elephants and inform the villagers about how to avoid the attack.  In the villages adjacent to the forest in the #Katarniaghat Sanctuary area, there is a riot of elephants. Elephants enter the villages through the forest and destroy the thatched houses and destroy the crops. The same situation is with the villages of Rampurwa, Matthi, Amba, Vishunapur, Bhawanipur and Bardia adjacent to the forest. The Gajmitra team has been formed by the Nature Environment and Wildlife Society in these villages. Five members each will work in 10 teams of Gajmitra. The project manager of the institution, Abhishek and field assistant Raja Hasan told the tips of elephant protection at the Government High School in Matehi village. Along with this, how the elephants would be driven towards the forest, informed about it. He told that Gaj Mitra members will have pipe guns. By this they will drive away the elephants. On Wednesday, a seminar and quiz competition was organized by the Forest Department and the social organization at the Government High School located in Rampurwa Matthi. In the seminar, the villagers along with the students learned how to protect against wild elephants. He also stressed on the protection of living beings.
