Feathers of Kolkata

“Feathers of Kolkata’, an informative slide presentation on the birds of Kolkata followed by an interactive session was hosted recently at the Business Club at New Town, in the presence of the Chairman, WBHIDCO, Sri Debashish Sen , other senior officials of NKDA and a few prominent residents of New Town. Sri Biswajit Roy Chowdhury, eminent bird expert and Secy., Nature Environment & Wildlife Society (NEWS), made the presentation in which he showed photographs of some of the resident, migratory & local migratory birds found in various parts of Kolkata and its adjoining areas. He also spoke about their habits and routes of migration.  Sri Debashish Sen was happy that the Eco Park & the New Town area is already attracting a variety of birds, some of them rare.
