Over 220 papaya saplings and 380 drumsticks saplings were reared by the Sri Gauranga nursery under Srinarayanpur WUA and sold to Water Users Associations (WUAs) of Meherpur Purba, Meherpur Paschim, Dakshin Gangadharpur, Piprakhali and Ramchandrapur Paschim. This is just the beginning for the nursery group which hopes to keep growing and creating a sustainable source of income from sapling rearing under WBADMI Project, south 24 Parganas.
