Women’s Day- recreational field tour

To mark the occasion of “#InternationalWomensDay2024”, Nature Environment & Wildlife Society (NEWS) organized a program cum recreational field tour for all the NEWS team members from the 27th of February 2024 to the 29th of February 2024 at Lataguri, North Bengal. An orientation workshop titled “Gender Inclusion in Conservation Approach” was organized at Hotel Dreamland Resort, Lataguri on the 27^th of February 2024. Ms. Ajanta Dey, our own Joint Secretary and Programme Director, welcomed all the participants onboard and briefed them on the topic. Sessions on the organization’s “Child Protection Policy” and “Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) at workplace” were also conducted. The team enthusiastically participated and presented their ideas in a group poster drawing competition on “Inspire Inclusion” – the campaign theme for this year’s edition of International Women’s Day.

The NEWS team members actively indulged in several fun-filled sessions which included games and sports followed by cultural programs. The team also enjoyed the Jungle Safari at Gorumara National Park and sight-seeing trips to some of the nearby picturesque places such as #Samsing, #RockyIslands, and #Sunthalikhola

The field tour, adorned with many memorable moments, was indeed a great experience for the team providing a common platform to interact and know each other……….
