💧🌿Importance of Wetlands celebration on World Wetlands Day

World Wetlands Day celebrates the importance of our wetlands and creates awareness on the need to protect and conserve these precious habitats. 70 youth members of the Ecoclubs of Kumirmari, Hingalganj, and Sagar held a bicycle rally in their towns creating awareness by repeating slogans and via microphone campaigns. Their novel take on creating awareness made sure that they minimized any air pollution that could take place and also showcased nature-friendly ways to go about daily life. The wetlands are otherwise known as the “kidneys of the landscape”. Growing up there, the youth of the Sundarbans feel very strongly about wetland restoration and conservation.Learn more and join the movement to protect and restore Wetlands!
