1.5 tonnes cleaned up!🚮

Whenever the world/country has faced strife, it is the youth who have come forward. creating history bit by bit. Once again, the bright youth have come forward to create a harmonious relationship between man and nature. On the 24th of January, a cleanliness drive was held on the premises of the Gangasagar Mela to clean the litter and plastic left behind by the thousands of attendees. Near 20 members of the Eco club of Sagardeep, Kumirmari and Hingalganj joined hands with the students of Sagar Prasadpur Atal Vidyabhavan, Dhablat Lakshan Parvesh High School and Sundarban Janakalyan Sangh Vidyaniketan for the cleanliness drive. Additionally, the West Bengal Youth Network also joined in this effort. A total of 150 participants collected approximately 1500 kg of waste plastic. Mr Sameer Jana (Asst. Executive Engineer, Sagar Block) congratulated and encouraged the youth on this tremendous initiative.
