Fish Feed Production

A community owned and governed fish feed production unit has been established at Sumatinagar of Sagar Islands in Sundarban under the support of Global Nature Fund.

A trial run of this unit was carried out yesterday and today. Establishment of this unit will improve the fish culture in this area, supplying low-cost scientific feed and augmenting livelihood of the local community as well as creating a new avenue of income generation to the members of “Kalpataru” and “Matsyokanya” Badabon Farmers Interest Group.
