Polar bears are the largest land carnivores in the world The bears are found in five nations: the U.S. (Alaska), Canada, Russia, Greenland, and Norway (Svalbard) Polar bears sit at the top of the food chain in the biologically rich Arctic. Polar bears sleep 7-8 hours at a stretch—and they take naps, too. Polar Bears don’t drink water Climate Change is unfortunately, the biggest reason that polar bears are endangered is global warming. This is the most important long-term threat to their survival.
