Project Team Meeting for the project “ Rehabilitation and protection of tropical Mangrove ecosystems as a contribution to climate and coastal protection, to the conservation of biodiversity as well as the natural livelihoods in India and Sri Lanka” was organized in Sundarban during 10th February – 14th February, 2019. Representative of Global Nature Fund, Germany, EMACE and Nagenahiru from Sri Lanka, CReNIEO and Nature Environment and Wildlife Societies (NEWS) participated in the meeting. This meeting provided an opportunity to analyze the project achievements, success and challenges in past year and also planning the activities for current year. This meeting also facilitate mutual learning and reviewing best management practices (BMP) in Mangrove restoration and community engagement, showcased by NEWS in the Sunderbans.
