Training On Mangrove Nursery Development

One of the first steps of the development of a successful mangrove nursery is capacity building of the local community. Such a training was organized at Dakshin Durgapur, Namkhana, South 24 Parganas. The mangrove experts from Nature Environment & Wildlife Society (NEWS) discussed the several aspects like site selection, the local ecology, various characteristics of the mangroves, soil preparation and seed collection to the members of the Dakshin Durgapur SHG Group along with 9 community members on the 25th of May, 2022.
