🌍✨ Taking a Step Towards a Greener Future! ✨🌿
In today’s fast-paced world, the growing concern of waste accumulation and improper disposal practices poses a serious threat to our environment. 🚯 To address this issue and foster environmental consciousness among the youth of Sagar, Sundarban, two dynamic workshops on Waste Management were organized on September 28, 2023. Ms. Shreya Guha, a field animator of NEWS has spearheaded two separate engaging sessions at Sapkhali and Khansabad Abad at Sagar, delving into the significance of waste management, the art of segregation, and effective disposal techniques. These workshops were a part of the Climate Literacy Module of NEWS and aimed to empower young minds with practical knowledge and foster a sense of responsibility toward our planet. Participants actively took part in discussions and hands-on activities, gaining insights into the various types of waste. The workshop shed light on the essential Four R’s of waste management: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Refuse. 🔄🌐
🌏 NEWS applauds the efforts of the 54 eco club members representing 7 eco clubs who wholeheartedly engaged in the workshop. Their enthusiasm and commitment demonstrate the power of collective action in making a positive impact on our environment. 🤝💚
