Bees play a crucial role in pollination. Nearly 90% of flowering plant species on the planet require pollinators for reproduction. The honeybee is responsible for nearly one-third of crop pollination. But these diligent insects produce more than that! They produce six hive products — pollen, honey, beeswax, royal jelly, propolis, and venom. These are all collected and used for nutritional and medical purposes by humans. Unfortunately, extensive use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides has induced a decline in the bee population.
