To commemorate World Elephant Day, the NEWS team in Guwahati held awareness programs with the students of two schools: 33 No. Primary School Chakardo and Chakardo Desh Bhakta Tarunram Phukan Middle English School, near Deepor Beel. A total of 47 students were present for the event. The NEWS team screen the documentary The Elephant Whisperers for the students. The students along with their teachers enjoyed the documenty. They also participated in poster making and interactive session during the event.
