Thematic Area: Ecology and environment

Objective 1: Undertake ecological restoration in 100 ha shoreline mangrove habitat in non-protected shorelines of Indian Sundarban.

Objective 2: To assess restored sediments, hydrological parameters, vegetation (species composition, density, seedling recruitment), and improvements in local livelihoods such as fish, crab.

Objective 3: Strengthening coastal community livelihood involving them in restoration activities, apiculture, training fisher folks in sustainable fishing, harvesting of NTFP’s from Mangrove Forest in the long term.
