Single Line Transplantation of Paddy with Azolla cultivation

Single line transplantation (SLT) of paddy with Azolla cultivation is economically and environmentally ideal to increase the yield and quality of grain. SLT decreases the need of seed hence reduces the cost of cultivation and labour. Azolla fixes atmospheric nitrogen and acts as a bio-fertilizer. It reduces evaporation rate from the irrigated rice field and also suppresses tender weeds.
