Scope of Work:

Coordinate with local communities, especially farmers and fishers, to implement livelihood strategies that support the restoration and protection of mangrove ecosystems.
Design and implement capacity-building programs related to sustainable livelihoods, natural resource management, and biodiversity conservation, with a focus on mangroves.
Collaborate with community workers, project managers, and local stakeholders to integrate sustainable practices in mangrove-dependent livelihoods.
Assist in forming and strengthening community institutions such as Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) involved in the mangrove project.

It is an Indo-German initiative under the Living Lakes Biodiversity Conservation Programme in association with the Ramsar -Wetlands Division, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Govt of India.

Qualifications:

Masters degree in Agriculture Science or Equivalent (Horticulture etc)

Scope of Work:

✓ Responsible for the overall planning, coordination, management & implementation of the agriculture component of the project

✓ Design and develop agriculture models as per feasibility, demonstrate in field and analyze the data to produce result-based reports

✓ Estimate input costs for agriculture activities and procurement.

✓ Develop and strengthen Community based Cooperative/Society/Farmers Producer Company to take up the livelihood activities integrating with conservation and protection of the wetland as a sustainable practice.
