A decorative colourful tableau illustrating the biodiversity of Sundarban was organized by NEWS in collaboration with District Panchayat & Rural Development and West Bengal Biodiversity Board. The tableau was flagged off from Simpark Mall, Lindsay Street by Ms Agnimitra Paul- the fashion designer & wildlife conservation and Dr Asok Sanyal, Chairman –West Bengal Biodiversity Board. Students from Nafarganj High School, Basanti performed skits on awareness towards protection of biodiversity esp mangroves. The audience who gathered around and expressed their eagerness towards protection of biodiversity of Sundarban.Tableau will move around the Sundarban region namely Canning, Dhamakhali , Gotkhali, Patharpratima and Kakdwip for 7 days.
