On the 24th of May, Ajanta Dey, Joint Secretary and Programme director of NEWS, was a panelist for the workshop on ‘Policy Planning Transboundary Dialogue for Bluer, Greener & Inclusive Growth in the Sundarban through an Ecosystem-Based Approach’ jointly organised by World Bank, Vivekananda International Foundation, and Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies in Delhi. Shri Bhupender Yadav, the Hon’ble Union Cabinet Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Labour and Employment made the inaugural speech. Ms Dey was part of a panel which discussed ‘Ecosystem-based approaches and adaptive spatial planning to meet climate change challenges’ in the context of the Sundarban.
