This project will assess the conservation status, distribution and population dynamics of Swamp deer in India and understand the distribution, threats and conservation
Objectives:
1. To assess the conservation status, distribution and population dynamics of Swamp deer in India.
2. To evaluate the habitat use of Swamp deer in relation to habitat quality and anthropogenic activities.
3. To identify threats and develop a long-term management plan for the conservation of Swamp deer in India.
Project Location: Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Assam and Madhya Pradesh
1. To increase and protect mangrove cover in 10 ha. at identified sites of Karaikal by 2025 with community participation, who are engaged in valorising mangrove value chain through income generation activities. 2. 14 Stewards from local community and 50 volunteers from local School & colleges engage in protection of Olive Ridley and Green turtle by 2025
